Culture Show 2013

Welcome to Culture Show, a project co-ordinated and managed by Bideford Bay Creatives (BBC), who place artworks in non Gallery places and spaces where the public go. BBC presents an eclectic mixture of creative artwork from local artists, all of whom are based in Bideford and the surrounding area. This year’s theme is ‘A Portrait of Bideford’ and features images made about and inspired by living in the Bideford Bay area. Some of these artworks will go on to be shown in a group exhibition in Bideford’s twin town, Manteo in North Carolina in September 2013.

There are different venues in Bideford town centre showing work; look out for the ‘Culture Show’ sign in windows and doorways of those businesses supporting the project. All venues are within walking distance of each other. Also look out for artworks which may appear in empty shop windows in the town throughout the Summer months, as units become vacant.

To contact the practitioners about their work, to enquire about sales, or make a purchase, please use the contact details displayed alongside the artwork. Some venues are willing to sell work on an artist’s behalf, so do ask staff if this is possible.
