First Fridays 2012
Friday 7th September: 11am and onwards into the evening
This free family friendly event features food, drink, music and art on Mill St between 11am and 7.30pm. The theme is Jamaican and it will kick off @11am. There will be a stage for YOU to fill- fill it with music, poetry, juggling, line dancing, comedy, art, contortionism- whatever talents you’ve ever wanted to share, here’s your chance!
A giant balloon arch will be built outside Blazey’s café during the morning; an afternoon chalk art workshop on the pavement for the kids will be led by Kaz Hawkins. Musicians, performers and artists will be dropping by to entertain, you – come and join the fun. So far the music line up begins with Coco Read-Jones from 12-1pm, Phil and Tom’s acoustic set from 4-4:30pm and the FP’s Reggae set from 5-7pm….. And more to be confirmed!
Hungry? Enjoy delicious Jamaican BBQ food and curry at Blazey’s of Bideford cafe and Jamaican inspired food, including Jambalaya and veggie options at Froot Loop. Both cafes will also be serving drinks, including local and organic wine and beer.

Friday 4th May: 4pm- 6pm and onwards
Do come and join us on May 4th and if you play music there’s an open mic session with local headliner Louis Anderson at Blazeys cafe on Mill St with BBQ and Froot Loop providing the alcohol. Also Confirmed bookings to play and sing are Richard Narbett Liberty Moore and Becky Bowe
We’re hoping also that Simon Groves and Andy Knight will play us something; there’s also a rumour that Steve the Pig and Kevin ‘Beano’ Green, may have a song in them. If you are an artist feel free to come and paint, draw, take photos or just do your thing. And if you juggle, stilt walk, entertain you are very welcome too. There will be arts and crafts outside the Baptist Church (inside if it’s wet!) plenty of seating!!
