“Geeze – what a nightmare!!!”

The Appledore Visual Arts Festival, where BBC were to show their Postcard Exchange Exhibition is having a sabbatical in 2011.

Dave Green, organiser of the UK leg of the Postcard Exchange didn’t want to alarm his American co-organiser, Fay Davis Edwards, the gallery manager of Dare County Arts Council in Manteo and so waited until the new venue was confirmed. Her reaction was “Geeze – what a nightmare!!! I’m so glad you were able to get an alternate venue for the exchange.” Dave said “ BBC are really excited about this project and look forward to over 100 handmade postcards being on show in the Burton Gallery in June. We would like to thank Tilly and Warren for their support”

A photographic artist who has built up a unique vision of the world through his digitally constructed images. None of his photographs are simply photographs; most of them are made from up to 100 separate images layered, like strata, on top of each other to build up an impression of what it is like to be in a place, giving the viewer far more than a visual experience.
